Bridging the Glazing Design Gap at a Landmark Site
Highland Bridge is an early phase mixed-use building located at the Ford site redevelopment in St. Paul, MN. It is one of the first buildings at this historically significant site.
The Challenge
Ryan Companies requested assistance in the design of the glazing systems. The buildings openings had unique configurations that were not completely designed, including very tall unsupported window openings and a custom panel design to mimic an arched top. Additionally, multiple cost and logistical options for the proposed design elements needed to be evaluated.
Our Solution
Based on their strong experience with design intent and functionality, the team at Brin Contract Glazing worked alongside the team at Ryan Companies to finalize the design and turn it into a reality. Partnering with Northwestern Glass Fab to provide standard and decorative translucent glass, Brin was able to provide the right solutions for successful constructability and design.
Results Accomplished
Brin was able to design and install the exterior curtainwalls and entrances that maintained the desired aesthetic for the complicated enclosure design. Although some aspects of the project are still in progress, Brin is meeting all milestones for on-schedule completion.
Why was Brin Glass best suited for the work?
Brin Contract Glazing was best suited for the work because we have internal team members with extensive design experience. This experience allowed us to anticipate Ryan Company’s needs through an early design evaluation and present an offer that will continue to drive the success of the project.
